Summer Basecamp Staff

About Deer Hill Expeditions

Located in beautiful southwestern Colorado, we are an adventure education and service learning organization for seventh through twelfth graders. Our wilderness and service journeys highlight the mosaic of landscapes and cultures that make up the Four Corners Region. Deer Hill Expedition’s combination of in-depth backcountry experiences and authentic community service projects with native peoples makes us unique. We are based on integrity, history, a sense of place and belonging, and a community of people passionate about providing inspiring journeys. With 27 years of programming experience in “our backyard”, we create programs that flow beautifully from location to location, activity to activity – from the rivers, to the canyons, to the mountains, to the Hopi, Navajo, Zuni and Ute Nations. Our mission statement, “…To inspire the individual through experiences which affirm the essential balance between Humanity and the Natural World,” is more than a concept; it is a guiding force in everything that we do.

Basecamp Support Staff at Deer Hill Expeditions

Deer Hill Expeditions is looking to hire Basecamp Staff to support our summer programming seasons.  Our summer staff will be comprised of six individuals who will begin work June 11, 2012, and commit to working through August 19th. Why join the Basecamp Staff at Deer Hill Expeditions?

“Beverly and I founded Deer Hill in Southwest Colorado in 1984, and remain deeply involved in the mission of this authentic community and its work. Our nearly three decades of service learning and adventure programming in the Four Corners region is a testament to the unique and powerful mission that DHE delivers. We seek passionate, dynamic individuals who are committed to participating in life-changing experiences for teens within the context of highly conscious wilderness and service programs on the Colorado Plateau. I can promise that you will work hard and have as much fun as the students. I look forward to personally welcoming you to Deer Hill.”       Doug Capelin, Founder and Owner
