Backpacking - Canyons

There are few places on Earth like the varied and unique canyon country of southeastern Utah, located less than two hours from Basecamp. Wind and water have eroded solid rock into a dramatic landscape of rich colors and shapes.
1000-foot cliffs soar above you as your group explores the secret passageways of a magical wilderness. Alcoves cradle the remnants of prehistoric cultures dating back thousands of years. The cooler temperatures of the mornings and evenings are the choice times for moving camp or exploring the many side canyons.

On multi-day backpacking expeditions you learn to navigate through winding canyons. The call of the canyon wren and the buzzing of the cicada remind us that this is home to many creatures beside ourselves. At night, the stars seem to burst from the raven-black sky. There is magic in the canyons.
